(This was a short story that I wrote about ten years ago.|)
It is about an elderly man who is about to be taken to a retirement home by his daughter.
Both are hiding their emotions and the fact that it's equally difficult moment in their lives.
The daughter talks of the mundane when really she wants to tell her Father how much he means to her.

(This is the story that I am currently working on.)
All is rather mysterious as a young girl surveys a room full of people that she has
collected together for...what reason?
The story then jumps back a little in time to the same young girl as she begins
her exploration of a dark attic by candle light.
What does she discover?
and more importantly,
What effect will those discoveries have on the rest of her life?

This is the unedited version of a short story that I wrote for school when I was 12 years old.
It's about a little evacuee during World War II on the walk to the train station with his mum.
The story is a collection of their thoughts as they walk together holding hands.
